Gosh look at my rating sticking out like a Cheetos puff in a green salad, but eh, I gotta be truthful to my Cheeto heart.

This came off as a parody of Hannibal, the TV show.

With Visions in Red is about a criminal profiler, Sadie Bonds and I betcha her proper name is a word play of sorts for BDSM. Anyway, she has this Will Graham-esque power to get into the killer'south head while in the crime scene. It is an interesting curve in characterization if written well, but here information technology was shallow and uninspired. Sadie'southward thought procedure is disorganized and her deductions are somewhat outlandish that if there were no blatant references to her personal experiences, they'd be nonsensical. Well, come to think of it, she's not even fit to be a criminal profiler since she'south psychologically unstable. She oftentimes zones out reliving her nightmares while in the offense scene, I wonder why anyone would put stock to her "assay".

To blow off some steam, she goes to an cloak-and-dagger BDSM society where she meets Shibari (Japanese fine art of rope chains) expert Colton Reed. He is convinced Sadie is a goddess in demand of a skillful bondage and some artful flogging. Information technology'due south interesting to note that 1 of the offset pieces of prove in a serial offense she's investigating is a specialty rope, and if I were to use my deductive reasoning,a Shibari expert will be the very person I'd be wary of.Merely saying, just of class Sadie is non wary at all because dude he calls her goddess. Yous gotta trust a man who calls you that, regardless of coming together him in seedy BDSM gild.

And then we take the shoddy writing. I ordinarily practice not mind the fragmented, staccato writing when information technology suits the grapheme POV, but in With Visions of Crimson information technology just seemed lazy. There were also noticeable grammatical errors that somewhat tainted the credulity of the medical explanations in the volume.

Passion and lust ignite. Nighttime and light battle. This explosive first installment of the Cleaved Bonds series sets the exhilarating pace for a true cat and mouse game where no one knows who's actually pulling the strings.

Criminal profiler Sadie Bonds knows blood. Her affair with the gruesome, dark world of killers began long earlier she started applying her belittling skills to investigate gory crime scenes. She gets inside the killers' heads, breaks them downward, relates to them on an cabalistic level. She prefers it this way—because it'due south safer to marry herself with the villain than the victim. At least, that's how she's coped ever since she was abducted and tortured as a teen.

She will never exist a victim again.

Now, she's honed her skills in order to bring justice to these ritualistic offenders. Working alongside her colleagues, armed with sharp wit and a SIG, Sadie e'er catches her sadist. Until one ruthless serial killer gets inside Sadie's caput, turning the tables. He knows her secrets. Her obsessions. The darkest, nearly deviant part of her soul.

When she meets Colton Reed, dangerous stakes are raised as he threatens to unravel her control and reveal her darkest fantasies. The sexy-as-sin bondage rigger at an exclusive BDSM club pushes her boundaries, forcing her to acknowledge that side of herself she fears. Just similar every other novel with a female cop, she chose the profession because of her twisted, abusive by. Completely unoriginal. A killer was torturing, possibly raping, and killing women. Of course this got her all worked upwards nearly her ain issues. To bargain with her pain, she went to a BDSM lodge where Colton was instantly attracted to her and had her all figured out just from watching her across the room. It was fucking ridiculous. Instalove at its finest.

****spoilers****

Colton crossed her path in the course of her investigation. She didn't fifty-fifty verify that he was at work at the time of the murder to rule him out as a doubtable. Instead she met upwardly with him socially that night. How professional of her. After discovering that he was into bondage and used a similar material to the 1 the killer was, the idea never crossed Sadie'southward mind that he had the potential to be a suspect. Just he was good looking, and adept looking people don't commit crimes. Sadie started interim similar some idiotic teenage girl with a vanquish. She should accept been focusing on the chore. People were dying which was far more than important than her sex kinks.

Sadie was chosen to a criminal offence scene and didn't take fourth dimension to change out of her dress. Her partner Quinn was of a sudden very interested in her. The two of them reenacted the crime to figure out what happened. During the reenactment, he felt her up and she rubbed her ass into his dick at the fucking crime scene where other cops would have been wandering around if this were realistic. The expressionless body was probably in close proximity to them equally well. WTF? Seriously? This is insanely stupid.

Sadie Bonds was brought into a world of pain and blood at the young historic period of 16. Spring and tortured for days she is left her with the ability to get inside the heads of monsters. It also left her with a need to exist bound and freed from her mind. Feeling similar she is cleaved for wanting something so dark she tries ignoring her needs. But when her newest example brings her to Colton Reed's doorstep and he offers to give her the release she craves, she tin't deny herself whatever longer.

Sadie is on the hunt for a serial killer who tortures and kills young females. The crime scenes all bring her back to those days of being held captive and information technology drives her into Colton's arms - and ropes. The killer is playing a dangerous game with Sadie, and feels continued to her somehow. Sadie is chasing the killer. The killer is afterward Sadie. And only one of them volition be caught.

This was such an intriguing story and I tin can't wait to become to the next book. I loved how Trisha Wolfe gave us not only Sadie and Colton'southward POV but as well had little parts of the UNSUB's too. Sadie was really smart and I liked reading about her knowledge of history and series killers. It was fun how Elizabeth Bathory, i of the most prolific female series killers, was mentioned and was connected to the instance. I wrote a paper on her in college then I just thought that was cool.

Nosotros didn't become too much of Colton in this outset part of the story only I'yard looking forward to finding out more nearly him. He has secrets of his own and I'm dying to find out what they are. He and Sadie together had a lot of chemistry and their scenes were Hot with a capital letter H.

Then, this is all Christy's fault. She got me to readWith Visions of Reddish and I blame her for the dirty/scary thoughts she has put into my mind by forcing me to read this book. Similar gun to my head force. I was in no position to deny her. If yous read her weblog, yous'd know what I mean. The shit she reads! She scares me. ;)

And so nosotros have this fucked up series killer/rapist who messed with my listen the whole book. Every time we got to see the globe and his victims through his eyes, I was both excited and sickened. I'm I the merely ane who has this fear of reading about a psychopath and agreeing with some of his points or seeing his logic? Oh, that's just me? Never heed. *coughs* Seriously, this killer is all most the pain, blood, and screams. Logic and compassion have not touched this asshat for some time, or ever. That'southward why I liked him then much! :D

Sadie has gone through some shit. The kind of stuff that would have left me numb and drooling in a corner the balance of my life. But she took her horrible by and decided to utilise her cognition of sadistic killers and help bring them to justice. Yay Sadie! You go daughter! Now, that's not proverb she isn't a footling messed upward from what happened to her but she hides it well. Until Colton walks into her life with some rope and all also knowing eyes. He sees the real Sadie and he likes what he sees, peradventure a piffling too much. Colton was an odd duck. I am nevertheless unsure what to think virtually him, merely I had to give him props for his rope work. He can tie up a body to perfection.

The mystery had me chomping at the flake. The characters are all so gloriously effed upward in that location is no style you can be bored with this 1. I just wanted more!
The Bad
I wish Sadie had more than control over herself when around Colton. Obviously the stuff that happened to her has made her vulnerable in some areas only I only don't like the excuse of "I can't help myself." Information technology seems likewise convenient.

I didn't listen the cliffhanger, but I did mind that the book stopped in the middle of the story. That wasn't an ending, that was an incomplete book.
The Snuggly
So dark, so tingly. The sex is kind of messed up because of the situation, but I loved it. There is a lot of chains and rough play. The peek inside that world was intriguing to say the to the lowest degree. Oh, and there is rape, though not much detail, so be prepared.
Final Thoughts
Wow. Well, that got me out of my reading slump. I can't wait to read the next book because that cliffhanger was killer. Nosotros are merely getting into the good stuff! Very, highly recommended.

With Visions of Red is the first part of an erotic thriller trilogy! The story is actually following Sadie Bonds, a police profiler with a huge cloak-and-dagger in her past. The story is really nicely set up and the mystery is well designed. The book is mainly written by Sadie's POV, but we take few capacity from Colton's POV and from UNSUB'south (murderer) POV which just intensifies the mystery in the plot. I have to point out that the book is more than focus on the thriller side than to the erotic side of the story. The criminal offence scenes were well-written and scary!

The writing is nice although there were events in the story that just didn't sum up to me. I don't desire to spoiler anything but I notice information technology surprising that the past of Sadie is such a hole-and-corner when she is working for the police and normally a groundwork bank check is necessary.

Sadie is very interesting heroine. She tries to fight her demons in her way just she is actually fighting herself. Almost of the times she has a clear view of a situation but with this killer roaming around, she seems a bit lost to me. I actually like her. She totally has my attention and I need to know more of her.

Colton is just someone who met Sadie and they take an allure. It'southward kind of weird actually the way that he is crazy about her but this is fiction and nothing is impossible. Unfortunately I cannot tell you how I feel nearly him as I don't feel like I know him. However I believe that this is the purpose of the author for making this book even better.

UNSUB is the murderer of this book. Nobody knows who he is and I can honestly tell you that I cannot even guess it! I doubt every unmarried person in this book also Sadie! It's really interesting and scary to read his POV.

The book is full of mystery and tension. The offense scenes are and then twisted and crazy that I was having chills just to read them. In that location is sexual practice but it doesn't feel like they are the focus and I like that!

The end of the book was so intense! It stops with an insane cliff-hanger, that leaves you wanted more than!

I definitely recommend this book to fans of erotic thriller books!

It's a volume revolving around sadism and bondage. Bwahaha … okay, plenty of that. Anyway, she'southward a profiler and has no problem delving into the darkest mind of a killer, but she struggles with the darkness in her own. I like Sadie and enjoyed watching her begin to explore that side of herself.

Then there's Colton, he's a character I couldn't really become into. I didn't dislike him or anything, he simply felt a lilliputian silly at times. And his abiding use of "goddess" was too much for me. I'yard kind of picky nigh the guys, especially in genres like this, and so there'southward a good possibility others will love him.

I beloved when nosotros get the unknown killer's POV, even if information technology is only small glimpses. It ever gives an extra dose of creepiness that I require. I was expecting more of a mind fuck with this story, merely it hasn't reached that point for me yet. We are left with many questions, though, and I have my theories!

I enjoyed With Visions of Red and found it to be a good starting time installment, but I do hope for a little more depth in the next 1. It's a fairly short book with a cliffhanger, so thank goodness the next one will be out soon.

The action is at the aforementioned time wearisome and fast, but really, actually interesting!

I have a small-scale thing that fabricated me blench: the name of the heroine - Sadie Bonds! OMG, it is tailor-made for a volume with BDSM!!! It's like the author wanted to stress her sexual preference: Sadie - for Marquise De Sade, and Bonds - for chains!
Simply that non the but wink-wink thingy with names hither: the hero's surname Reed, also refers to BDSM!!! I'g wondering if Colton has also some such reference, but since English is not my female parent-tounge I'm unable to notice out! ;)
That was very lame in my opinion! I would prefer if they had normal names without whatever reference whatsoever!

The story is a hunt for a truly vicious and twisted, but at the same fourth dimension intelligent and smart serial killer! This ill and twisted person is very present here and he'south like a coductor who leads all the other characters in his twisted opera. And, thing that I love in suspense, we become to see his POV!!!

The other characters, Sadie, Colton, Quinn, Avery, Carson are giving chase, merely while Sadie has the virtually insight, all the others are blindsighted by him and his machinations!

On to the 2d book!

This is my second Trisha Wolfe book. I was in a nighttime mood and wanted an erotic dark book. This gave me information technology. It's not dark in the typical sense, merely it has night elements.

Sadie was kidnapped when she was younger and that left a lasting impression on her. Today she'southward a criminal profiler which can make or not make her chore easy.

The book started out with a bang and I was curious about Sadie and her personality. I wanted a complicated Heroine with a damsel complex and I wanted someone to salve her from her past pain.

Colton works at an developed guild and he's actually good with ropes. I like Colton, I dear it when a hero is lusting later on a heroine and I couldn't find any faults in him really.

I liked the parts where Sadie was trying to find the killer and it's very credible that Colton is not the killer so become that out of your head.

What I had trouble with was the two separations in the book. One side of the book is Sadie's work, trying to get into the killer's mind and going to crime scenes and the other half is Colton, where he plays with her. I actually did wished the two would see. As much as I liked reading about Sadie'south job and how she works, I would have liked some Colton to be in there too.

So it did hinder my experience a bit and I found Sadie'southward task kind of dragging the book downward a bit. I wanted more of a romance story and considering of that, I won't be jumping into book two someday soon, but I program on reading it.

Bright comes to listen after reading this kickoff in a new series from Trisha Wolfe. She takes us not only into the suspense world with a serial killer but also deep into the BDSM globe where a criminal profiler still haunted by her ain past with a serial killer meets a mysterious man who craves her and uses his Japanese bondage skills in shibari to give her the release she craves from the nightmares from her past.

Sadie Bonds was abducted by a sadistic killer when she was a teenager. She managed to survive her time with him but not without information technology leaving not only an outer scar but also with a fascination with claret and a craving for things she'southward tries not to remember nearly. She went on to work in the police force and had worked herself up to becoming a profiler with the FBI but instead took a demotion and now works for the Arlington County Constabulary department equally their criminal profiler. Most of the men don't respect her job including her partner Quinn. Simply when women showtime turning upward dead with plenty of claret surrounding the crime scenes Quinn's animosity changes when he knows that if they are going to catch this killer that Sadie and her souvenir of being able to read what story the claret from the victims tells her will be their best bet.

Sadie is such a fascinating character. Her time in captivity with a killer certainly messed with her mind just instead of letting it brand her insane she has taken her fascination with blood and used it help find other killers. What she doesn't realize at the start of this example is it is personal and this killer knows things nigh her by that no one should.

In the eye of the investigation we are shown Sadie frequents a BDSM social club equally a voyeur to attempt and sate the demons in her mind that accept over afterwards seeing the horrific things of the murders. It is hither she meets the social club owner's blood brother Colton Reed who is a primary at rope chains – which is one of her triggers from her time with her own abductor. We get Colton's POV throughout the volume and he is one hot sexy Dom merely by the terminate of this book he is still a human being of mystery. We haven't gotten the full story on him yet and I tin can't want to run into what demons are in his past.

This volume does stop on a bewilderment. Normally that would drive me nuts but we were given plenty of story to stew on until the next book. I was fascinated with all the threads of different genres the author weaved throughout this volume. Yes, information technology a romantic suspense at heart but it also soo much more than that and I was entranced from outset to stop.

I knew when I got through that prologue that this book was going to be amazing and permit me tell you lot, Trisha Wolfe did not disappoint.

As I already stated, this book is then different than anything Trisha Wolfe has given us before. She took a huge risk and in my opinion, it paid off. I was so impressed with the way Trisha got inside the Unsub'due south head. I felt like I was right along side him, living his thoughts, feeling what he'southward feeling. I was so absorbed by the story-line. At times, it felt like I was watching an episode of Law and Order: SVU. It was that good!

With Visions of Carmine is well written and captivating. It is nighttime, it is sexy, it is intense. The characters have amazing chemistry. They are and then like shooting fish in a barrel to connect with, then piece of cake to go lost in. You will find yourself asking questions, and believe me, I accept a lot of them. Yous will try your hardest to figure out what is going on and y'all will be waiting in anticipation to run into what volition happen adjacent.

The ending….permit's talk about that for a minute. I recollect things wrapped up pretty nicely. There is no huge cliffhanger, merely more like a stay tuned. My marvel is definitely peaked. I'thousand left wanting more. I need to know more. I demand to know who the unsub is. And Sadie, I felt such a potent force and conclusion from her. She's got to finally face the by and her fears.

With Visions of Ruddy is an heady, eye-pounding new series from Trisha Wolfe. I'grand excited to meet where the next book will accept us. I tin can't wait to find out what lies ahead for Sadie. I just can't wait to read more.

Criminal Minds is one of my favorite shows, and then when my girl Yaya said this series was similar, and couldn't cease talking about information technology, I knew this serial was next on my listing.

At that place are two storylines to this book - the gruesome murders, and the Lair, a BDSM club. How the two connect is through our heroine, Sadie, who has had a tortured past that has molded her nowadays behavior.

And so, let me breakup the two.
I loved the story of this serial killer, as in, it is truly fucked up! Who the UNSUB is copying, why he is doing information technology, what his connection to Sadie might be, all of it was wildly clever.

And then there is the sexual activity club. Colton has a serious sexy vibe that is hard to ignore. Add his Shibari skills and Sadie tin't stay away either, even if he may be the prime suspect. There are a lot of connections betwixt him and the crimes, which had me flipping dorsum and forth, is he the killer, or is he being set upwards? This book won't give you those answers.

The only part of the volume that gave me break was Sadie's professionalism. She admittedly isn't right in the head, turned on by the crimes she is witness to, but on elevation of that, I doubted her abilities every bit a profiler often. Some of this was intentional by the writer, as these crimes are bringing up one-time memories for Sadie. Just her transitions from criminal offense scene to the sex club seemed very selfish. Heeeellllooo, serial killer on the loose! Get your head straight! Yep, I may have been yelling this at my kindle.

Either way, the writer has me hooked, and so it is on to book 2.

I love Sadie.  She'south struggling with who she is, and the murders aren't really helping with that.  She is trying to be as strong as possible, simply fears what she can become.  There's a dark side to Sadie, and she doesn't know if information technology's because of what happened in her past, or if she's always had it lurking beneath.

I honey Sadie.  She's struggling with who she is, and the murders aren't really helping with that.  She is trying to be as strong as possible, but fears what she can become.  There's a night side to Sadie, and she doesn't know if information technology'southward because of what happened in her by, or if she's ever had it lurking below.

Colton is astonishing.  He'southward hot, caring, and ultimately infatuated with Sadie.  He notices her at a club, but the timing couldn't be worse every bit the string of murders starts providing suspicions.

I really tin can't say more because I call back that will take the enjoyment out of your reading.  With Visions of Red is hot, steamy, sexy, dark, twisted, and provides a lot of mind-fuckery.  I couldn't put it down, and got wrapped up in the lives of Sadie and Colton.

With Visions of Red follows Sadie, a criminal profiler, who is working on a case, that unsettles her deepest fears and desires. She finds her mode dorsum to an erotic society and into the clutches of Colton, the sexy, mysterious guy that wants to make her his.

This volume has all the elements that I love in a dark romantic thriller! There is an intense human relationship building betwixt Colton and Sadie. They explore a number of sexual desires that Sadie desperately wants to experience. I was introduced to the art of Shibari and how sexually erotic it can be. It has a thrilling storyline that has you on edge, and especially when you venture into the mind of the killer. There are numerous twists and turns that will keep you lot guessing and trying to figure out who the killer is!!

I LOVED every moment of reading this book. Trisha Wolfe has developed this captivating world that I lost myself in. The characters are twisted in their own ways, they are notwithstanding withholding so much from each other and from the reader as well. I met a lot of secondary characters, and I have no clue on whether or not they tin be trusted! I have then many theories and questions that I demand answers too! I WANT THE Adjacent BOOK!! Trust me people, you exercise not desire to miss out on this ane!!

I loved Sadie!!!! A wonderful heroine. I cannot recommend this volume enough. And now we have another installment coming at usa VERY presently.
